Our fall mums and pansies are in and looking gorgeous! Pansies love cooler weather and will pop up through the winter and spring snow. If there’s no snow and it’s above freezing (like much of the Colorado winters), water them weekly and enjoy their color for a winter garden pick-me-up! It’s also a fantastic time to plant perennials, shrubs, and trees. The cooler weather and still warm soils give roots time to establish with less transplant shock. It’s important to water them often to establish them before the ground freezes and during the winter when there isn’t any snow around them. The same goes for established trees, shrubs, and perennials- they’ll grow healthier and more vigorously when spring arrives, as the plants are not starting from a weakened state.
This is the last week for Spencer Bucks! The last day to spend them is Saturday, September 16th.
