Firsts of Fall

Firsts of Fall

The first indications of fall are here and we’re ready. Cooler days and chilly nights are ahead prompting us to change into warmer layers and introduce spicier flavors and scents to our homes. Chiles are roasting and mingling with the smells of spent leaves and fall mums, a favorite of many of us at Spencer’s.

Chile roasting is in high gear, roasting every flavor- mild Sonora, low/medium Anaheim, medium New Mexico, medium/hot Big Jim, and fantastically spicy Barker. Get yours by the bushel, half bushel, or quart bags.

While you’re waiting for your chiles to roast, pick up some incredible sodas from Rocky Mountain Soda Co. They make their own sodas by hand with all-natural ingredients.

Colorado apples are coming soon, ready to make into pies, applesauce, or slices for snacking. Watch for them at the end of this week or next!

If you don’t think it’s too early for pumpkins, we’re your place to be! We have gorgeous Cinderella pumpkins- large, white pumpkins that are great to decorate with or carve when it gets closer to spooky season. Also pie pumpkins, gourds, squash, and more… it’s the beginning of pumpkin harvesting, so watch for more to come!
