Fall is officially here and the changing season brings some new produce. We love pumpkins for decor and cooking. Chile roasting is still going strong with all Colorado grown varieties. Apples are making their way in, sweet and crisp. Side note: have you ever added a few roasted green chiles to your apple pie before baking? It might change your life… go with a milder variety like Sonora (no heat, just chile pepper flavor) or Anaheim (gentle heat) for your first go around, adding about a half cup to your favorite recipe. It’s a popular combination in New Mexico and a wild favorite in my kitchen.
Here’s what we have: (all Colorado grown)
