Dan Robinson from Spencer’s Produce, Lawn & Garden Centers will present a seminar on pruning trees, shrubs, edible berry shrubs, and fruit trees. Pruning tips and proper pruning times are essential for good growth and fruit production. Learn what types of berries and fruit grow best in our area.
11:15 a.m. Roses for Everyone
Alice Spencer-Robinson from Spencer’s Produce, Lawn & Garden Center will feature a fun and educational seminar on growing roses. Our climate is perfect for growing a beautiful rose garden! This seminar features such topics as pruning roses, planting times, fertilizing, watering requirements, proper placement, and bug problems. Great seminar for beginners and seasoned rose growers!
1:00-3:00 p.m. Build a Miniature Garden
Christy Patton from Gulley Greenhouse will lead a class on planting your own miniature garden! Bring your own container or pot, figurines, and decorations- soil will be included. There will be time during the seminar to purchase plants and accessories to complete your beautiful garden! This is a great class for families with children, as they can help design and plant the garden with you! Space is limited so call early! The class is free but may require in-store plant purchases to fully participate. Be prepared to get your hands dirty and have a great time!
