It’s here- our favorite season! Hold on, though… even though it’s Spring, planting isn’t a good idea until Mother’s Day weekend. Colorado’s spring weather is unpredictable and often snowy with freezing temperatures, unsuitable for most tender plants and herbs. Start your seeds indoors now, put down lawn fertilizer before a rain or snow shower to make use of the moisture, and plan your gardens before it’s time to plant. If you just can’t wait to see some color, spring pansies are your best bet. Beautiful and hardy, they’ll give you color even through snow.
