Today is the FINAL day of the 22nd annual Spencer’s Garden Success Show! The great sales start at 10:00 and end at 4:00 today on many products including soil, garden art, and much more, so hurry in!

Here’s a run-down of today’s great gardening seminars:

10:15 A.M. WATERWISE TREE AND SHRUB CARE
Dan Robinson from Spencer’s Produce, Lawn & Garden Centers will present a seminar on pruning trees, shrubs, edible berry shrubs, and fruit trees. Pruning tips and proper pruning times are essential for good growth and fruit production. Learn about Waterwise species of nursery stock to help conserve water while maintaining gorgeous landscapes.

11:15 A.M. ROSES FOR EVERYONE
Alice Spencer-Robinson from Spencer’s Produce, Lawn & Garden Center will feature a fun and educational seminar on growing roses. Our climate is perfect for growing a beautiful rose garden! This seminar features such topics as pruning roses, planting times, fertilizing, watering requirements, proper placement, and bug problems. Great seminar for beginners and seasoned rose growers!

12:30 P.M. NATURE’S EDUCATORS 
Devin Jaffe of Nature’s Educators talks about some lesser seen but amazing wildlife in our neighborhoods. Special guests may include raptors, owls, and some smaller creatures worthy of our knowledge. Learn what they do for our yards, how we can garden to keep them safe, and just how awesome they are. Kids and adults will love seeing these beautiful animals up close and personal! A very unique learning experience for all of us!

2:00 P.M. PRESERVING FOOD FROM YOUR GARDEN
Donna La Chey of Hillbilly Farms will talk about various methods of food preservation. Overviews include dehydrating, canning, freezing, and more.

2:30 P.M. A MINI COURSE ON A MINI GARDEN 
Christy Patton from Gulley Greenhouse will lead a smaller version of her popular hands-on miniature gardening class. Time will be limited to one hour of in-store miniature gardening, but a sprinkling of fairy dust will send you on your way with a beautiful garden to take home! Bring your own container, tiny trinkets, and decorations to plant your mini garden, or purchase supplies when you arrive.
